SPENCER — FLEXcon – an adhesive coating and laminating company in Worcester County – is on the way to having its very first female CEO.

The company announced in a Dec. 15 release that their former Chief Financial Officer Aimee Peacock, who was hired in 2018, has been promoted to president and CEO. Peacock will be taking over for Lavon Winkler, who’s retiring from the company on Jan. 30.

“This exciting role allows me to support the advancement of the organization and development of team members while we continue our transformation,” Peacock said in the Dec. 15 release. “I look forward to driving FLEXcon’s progress and growth as we realize our potential as a true innovator of material sciences.”

Prior to working at FLEXcon, Peacock was a CFO at the Chelmsford-based Brooks Automation for about two years. She also worked as a financial services supervisor at Roger Corporation in Rogers, CT, for about three years and later as a business unit coordinator at Rogers’ Woodstock, CT offices from 2013-2015.

According to the release, since joining FLEXcon, Peacock has clarified the company’s finances by providing financial transparency and improved the efficiencies of the company by integrating technologies and data analytics.

“Aimee has brought a vast amount of knowledge and experience to our company and helped us to build upon our rich history and success,” said Shaun McDonough, FLEXcon’s executive vice president of purpose, people and process. “I am confident that under her leadership, we will continue to achieve greatness as a FLEXcon Family while continuing to support our community.”

Peacock has a B.S. in business administration/accounting from the University of New Hampshire (2003). Last year, she received an Advanced Executive Certificate on Management, Innovation and Technology from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
